Day de Dada Performance Art Schedule for 2010

Day de Dada Events 2010
Day de Dada artists are scheduled to appear at
the following events. Stay tuned for details

Art Can Be Recycled and made into something completely useless

Forget making ashtrays or collages out of recycled materials. Here's how to take some art, mess with it and end up with something you don't want to give someone for Christmas.

We'll see you at Van Duzer Summer Streets tomorrow

We've been receiving contributions for the Day de Dada Art Recycle Event at Van Duzer Days on Sat August 1st. Everyone is invited to bring their bits and pieces of art to recycle into glorious new objects and performances. We'll be there from 1-4

We'll be videotaping this art recycling event and we've been invited to show the edited video on August 20th at the Coahsi Event celebrating the arrival of the "WaterPod". The Waterpod demonstrates future oathways for nomadic, mobile shelters and water based communities.
Sounds intriguing. More info at http://www.thewaterpod.org/

See you tomorrow at Van Duzer Summer Streets!

Dada Momma at Homeless Art Gallery Sun 7/19

Have a good breakfast dear! Dada Momma will be serving a hearty, delicious and of course nutritious breakfast at the Homeless Art Gallery this Sunday in Silver Lake Park. Because I know you are busy with your art and your little friends but honey everyone needs a good breakfast so you just sit yourself down at the table mister and eat your breakfast. Then you can go out and play with your art. Honestly !

Figment on Governor's Island - be enveloped in warm fuzzy art love !

FIGMENT is an explosion of creative energy on Governors Island. It’s a free, annual celebration of participatory art and culture where everything is possible. For one weekend each summer, it transforms Governors Island into a large-scale collaborative artwork… and then it’s gone.

Figment is truly wonderful. The whole island is taken over by weird art / costume/ sculpture/ dance/ music/ interactive/ wandering tribes. You will feel like you've come home. I'll be there. You should be too.

re: Hurrah ! Day de Dada Art Parade at "Art by the Ferry Festival"

All Hail to the art carrying Sicolabians and artists of every ilk who joined in the "Day de Dada Art Parade" at Art by the Ferry last Saturday.

We laughed, we marched, we sang, we crowned the King of Dunkin Donuts. All was right and art in the world. Thanks to all who joined us. Pictures on Day de Dada facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=28580489117&ref=ts

Day de Dada Shop -o- Rama Art Parade Sat 6/6/09 2:00

What can you do at the Shop -o- Rama Art Parade on Saturday 6/6/09?
The theme is "Art and Money":

Handout your autograph – you’re famous aren’t you?!
Try to buy things off of people passing by
Try to sell your art without words or by using gestures or miming
Silently shop only in your mind
Add up all the minutes you’ve spent on your art and think of what you’d like to be paid an hour. You’re rich !
Take pictures of your money then try to spend the photographs
See if merchants along the route will accept conceptual art for tangible goods

Countdown to Art Parade

It is 4 days 2 hours, 22 minutes and 30 seconds until the Day de Dada Shop -o- Rama Art Parade at Art by the Ferry
