Visual Artists Wanted for June 13th Event at South Beach

I'm hosting a Summerfest event on South Beach on June 13th, and I'm looking for visual artists that are interested in displaying their work along the boardwalk as part of a fence show. Interested artists can come down at noon and hang their work along the designated area. That evening's events will include:

6:00pm - Premiere of Amanda Curtis' performance art piece, "The Boy with the Long Nose"
7:00pm - Wahoo Skiffle Crazies, Staten Island's premier jugband
8:00pm - Grey Skies Fallen, melodic metal from South Beach

Excellence in the Arts grants

COAHSI just announced the 2009 Excellence in the Arts Awards. We will be offering 6 music grants and 2 grants in Public Art, Performance Art, and Film (this includes dance). The grants are $1,000 to do an event or have work as part of our Summerfest in June 2009. The application is super easy, but I will be holding workshops on January 5th at 6pm at the Alice Austen House, and January 10th at 11:00am at the Blue Heron Nature Center. I urge you all to apply individually, as well as SICoLab applying as a group (the panel LOVES collaborations on this).

DOT Urban Art Program

Here is the link to the information I was speaking about last night...as I mentioned, I think individual visual artists should apply for the "pARTners" projects (deadline January 19th), and SiCoLab itself should DEFINITELY submit a proposal for the "Artervention" for an event on the ferry promenade (projects can be presented for up to a month; deadline is on a rolling basis and you'll be notified within a week).
