I've been posting this message on facebook for people i know in bands that I appreciate.

"I'm working with Dock Street and WRXP on a series of Staten Island Showcase events. DJ Rich Russo is spearheading things and has me looking to Tight SI bands who might be interested.

The bands don't get paid monetarily but the ones who I book to play will have that performance advertised on 101.9FM (pending they are booked with enough notice), DJs from the Station will be there taking Demos and Meeting artists, ect. (They asked me to make sure its 100% clear this does not guarantee anyone airtime, but Rich is already playing 5 Island artists on his show, he thinks SI is the new Seattle and now is trying to prove it)

They're looking for a 25 minute set from 4-5 bands in each showcase which includes one cover song. The first one is on Saturday the 11th which is already booked but we're having more on every other Saturday.

There is going to be a lot of people talking about this, I could only what the comments section on this site or silive is going to be like. Either way, if you are interested in performing at one of these events which will take place approx every 2 weeks contact chris@dockstreet.com
